She holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Averett University and a master’s degree in gifted education from Elon University. Whether planning in her grade level PLC, analyzing data on the School Improvement Team, or discussing the impact of a lesson with administration, Ms. Kennedy always brings authenticity and passion. She has done a tremendous job this year with implementing new instructional practices to meet the diverse needs of her students. She continues to be open to new ways of teaching and is committed to growing as an educator. Ms. Kennedy is the ultimate “team player.” She cares deeply about the Woodland school community and that is evident in her classroom daily. A colleague states “Ms. Kennedy selflessly and unconditionally dedicates her time and energy to her students and colleagues.  She is a phenomenal teacher, co-worker, and friend.  There are not enough words to captivate just how awesome she is!”
