The 5th grade AIG students had awesome book club discussion yesterday on Kira-Kira by Cynthia Kadohata. The book is about the hardships and "kira-kira" experiences of a Japanese American family living in the deep South during the 1950s. As an added bonus, the students were treated to a pizza lunch by some of our wonderful parents!
