Superintendent's Office

The Person County School System has a commitment to excellence as it stresses the intellectual, personal, social and physical development of all students.

Consistent efforts by the Board of Education and a well qualified staff of administrators, teachers and support personnel advance the mission of the school system -- to offer children a quality education that will enable them to function effectively within a complex society.

That is the most important gift a school system can give its citizens, and is what our citizens expect.

Our school system is committed to each student having the very best opportunity for success every day. Teachers weave lessons of good character and respect into the academic program, creating an atmosphere where students feel confident as well as challenged and respected. School level and district level administrators are student-focused and work as a team with the instructional staff at all 13 schools to enable students to achieve their goals. Strong community and business partnerships and parental involvement are essential to fulfilling our mission to prepare students for the 21st century in a safe, orderly and caring learning environment.

Person County Schools is dedicated to the task of promoting high expectations for students as they graduate to become responsible citizens, productive workers and continuous learners, prepared to face the challenges of the future. We invite you to join us in our efforts!
