Our school system is committed to each student having the very best opportunity for success every day. Teachers weave lessons of good character and respect into the academic program, creating an atmosphere where students feel confident as well as challenged and respected. School level and district level administrators are student-focused and work as a team with the instructional staff at all 13 schools to enable students to achieve their goals. Strong community and business partnerships and parental involvement are essential to fulfilling our mission to prepare students for the 21st century in a safe, orderly and caring learning environment.

The Superintendent of Schools shall be the chief executive and advisory officer of the Board of Education. Under the direction and control of the Board, the Superintendent will have general supervision over all matters directly or indirectly affecting the operation of the District.

The Superintendent is the Chief Executive Officer of the Board. In this role, the Superintendent is responsible for:

  • Supervision of instruction
  • Employment, recruitment, supervision, and evaluation of staff 
  • Supervision of building and grounds 
  • Maintain relationship with Board of Education 
  • Meet laws and requirements of the State Board of Education
