This is the image for the news article titled Holly Blalock is the PCS Teacher of the WeekHolly Blalock is an eighth-grade math teacher at Northern Middle School (NMS). She holds a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Math and Science Education from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. The staff at NMS voted to select Mrs. Blalock as their Teacher of the Week because of the many roles she serves and the many ways she contributes to the overall well-being of NMS’s students. She serves as grade level chair, coordinates the school yearbook, and serves on the School Improvement Team (just to name a few of her areas of involvement).  In addition, Mrs. Blalock has graciously given up her planning period every day to work with math students in another grade level. Mrs. Blalock brings several years of experience and knowledge. Despite her vast experience, she continues to strive to learn and grow. She brings consistency, high expectations, and laughter to her hallway. Ashley Warren, principal, states “Mrs. Blalock is one of the first to arrive and last to leave each day. Despite her proven results, she is never satisfied with her current performance; instead, she always strives to be even better. She is a Raider through and through and dedicates so much time and energy to Northern Middle School. We are so lucky to have her as part of our team.”
